Fork & Ale Restaurant in Douglassville PA
Husband and Wife Team utilize a 504 loan to open their second Gastropub in Douglassville, Fork & Ale. Gary and Melissa share the day to day operations to provide patrons a unique experience with a discerning taste for great food, craft made beer along with high standards in service and quality. Fork and Ale is modeled after their first restaurant, Craft Ale House which opened in 2008. This unique “gastropub” style restaurant has a glowing reputation from local customers as well as travelers passing through. As in the names, Fork & Ale and Craft Ale House, patrons can select from over 400 different bottled brews for take-out or in house consumption. There are 16 rotating craft beers on tap, providing specialty brews from Belgium along with award winning beers from across the United States but their passion is supporting local and regional breweries as well as wineries and distilleries. Along with striving to provide better beer they match it with quality service and fresh seasonal foods all made on location down to the details of soup stocks and mayonnaise, thus supporting their surrounding community by purchasing from local farms and vendors. This has become the focus of their business model, along with an emphasis upon environmentally friendly practices. Fresh Food, Fresh Brew!
